Q: What is the process of enrolling my child at Kirkwood School District?

A: Applications start at the beginning of February and are placed at the portal Infinite Campus. New students also need to fill in the online form and take a printout of the verification page to school; returning families may qualify to have their information updated paperless.

Q: What is the required documentation for enrollment?

A: You will require a birth certificate of your child, a copy of all current immunization records, residency documents (a lease agreement/ mortgage statement and a current utility bill), emergency contact details, and Individualized Education Plans (IEP), 504 plans, or custody papers, where applicable.

Q: Who may finish the process of enrollment?

A: Enrollment of a child in the district can only be done by the parent or legal guardian who has the educational custody of the student or the record on file.

Q: Does it have school bus transportation?

A: Yes. Students who reside 1 or more miles (elementary), 1.5 or more miles (middle), and 2 or more miles (high) from their local designated school are given free bus transportation. Students on hazardous pathways would also be qualified to receive it.

Q: Is the curriculum and class size uniform among schools?

A: Yes. The district has class guidelines with a common core curriculum in every school, so that there are equal standards in teaching and learning.
