Montgomery County Public Schools Calendar: The 20252026 academic year begins Tuesday, August 26, 2025, with a Student Transition Day on Monday, August 25 (for kindergarten students, 3rd graders, 6th graders, and 9th graders). Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) also stays true to providing a holistic and fulfilling school study over the mid-20252026 school year. The school year starts on a Monday, August 25, 2025, with a Student Transition Day that will welcome the new school year and, therefore, welcome new students in the kindergarten, 3rd, 6th, and 9th grades into their respective schools.
